As a junior high school student with no prior experience in acting or stage production, we faced challenges from the very beginning. Ultimately, I decided to combine Zhu Ziqing's(朱自清) renowned prose" My Father's Back (背影)" along with elements of tokusatsu heroes, mystery, and traditional snacks, to create a play that the audience might seem to understand, yet still leave them puzzled. The car route carves into the masses to create pockets of shared communal areas. Its massive composition of modular elements and imposing geometric lines became the influential element on the design of the project.&nbsp;Starting from the idea of repetitive housing modules, the aggregation of 4x4 modules creates interior spaces, terraces and shared spaces. Several trained images by cycleGAN are projected into a repetitive movable pattern. The abstract patterns and shifting pieces of the structure explore the transformation of visible and invisible elements. By doing so, it allows different patterns to be visible to the autonomous car but invisible to the human eye. Then, the user is able to choose within available units. The vehicle can stay parked as part of the housing unit or drop the users off. Taking a closer look at this movable pattern. The car attaches to the unit, the interior door closes and the car is locked to the facade pattern. Most important, this pattern allows the vehicle to charge while it is parked. The self-driving vehicles can adapt to diverse functions making the residential units purposely flexible. They can function as an office space or start-up business since it is the movable part of the house. Object Detection Looking at the facade from the car's perspective, this is able to detect which units are available. Object detection often requires vast datasets and long training times. To make this project possible, we applied two simplifications: we trained and labeled the renders of our own geometry&nbsp; and we predicted a fixed number of objects in each image. Yolov4 Most modern models require many GPU for training with a large batch size, which makes training really slow. Yolo is an object detector model which can be trained on a single GPU with a smaller batch of images. Since our machines were learning our own facade design and patterns, which were digitally produced and not real objects, we needed to label the position of each pattern and input several renders of the same pattern at a different angles and different backgrounds. This project explores one of the many possibilities of the integration of autonomous cars and the impact it has on the urban form. It looks at this impact among different scales, from car unit to urban massing. The facade has given a new legacy of architecture form as interface. Those puzzles were then transformed and reinterpreted into a new set of elements (that retain the key connective principles found in the original). BUILDING ASSEMBLY The building is divided into three main structures or levels and they are broken down in a way that they interrelate and lock themselves into each other. The small extruded pieces serve as interlocking parts to hold the building while serving and forming smaller interior spaces holding different functions. The language of the building and the spaces formed out of the void spaces from the building movement and erosion on the site, reinforce the strong relationship to the ground.For these parts to work, they strictly follow a set of instructions. The three main parts need to rotate between each other, slide the interlocking pieces and follow a track for its composition. These interlocking pieces will define our public and private spaces housing specific functions of the program of the museum: galleries, exhibition and underground spaces. DETAIL After several studies, one aspect of the original Hanayama puzzle that wasn’t explored was the element of surprise or unexpected results as you solve it. Our detail explores a different conceptual approach. While keeping a similar formal language as the 2D and 3D puzzles, we considered another interpretation at a very different scale. As you rotate the small handle, it pushes and locks the upper bar directly but, at the same time, it pushes the central disk, rotating it and pushing the lock at the bottom. At first, it is not obvious that something else is going on; the most obvious solution is to lock/unlock something at the top but it is also doing something else elsewhere. ORIGINAL PUZZLE The theme of the original Hanayama puzzle is "lock" and the puzzle's solution is the result of tricks not visible at a first impression. The outer rings need to be perfectly aligned for the pieces to slide into the inner tracks. As you resolve the puzzle, these interior pieces will reveal themselves which are really the most interesting aspect of the puzzle and how they fit into each other. The solution is not necessarily intuitive and it follows specific steps of instructions for its [dis]assembly: rotate, slide and follow a track. The white small extruded pieces relate directly to the inner tracks. SITE ASSEMBLY The Site is a combination of our 2D, 3D, and detail. It is an accurate reflection of two scales that are getting mixed up. Their language and formal composition became an influential thing when we designed the building. In terms of the actual operation of the project, the buildings in downtown Los Angeles are regarded as a polymer of different building components. We decomposed and reorganized them. By dividing these buildings, we got some basic unit for combination. Since the buildings themselves are monotonous and similar, we hope to get as many different forms as possible. The diversity of these parts will give more possibilities in the process of the combination.&nbsp; We integrated pieces of the bonaventure hotel, one of LA’s most iconic buildings. The bonaventure has a very strong, static posture. We wanted to reformulate this landmark in a way that shows a sense of movement. After slicing and reworking the building, the parts we used show a strong sense of unbalance, and by rotating the elements in different ways the parts lose their original language and become unrecognizable from their original form. The profile line of the bottom bar is carried by the oblique bar to the top all the way to the tower. These parts form “the mouth” that faces toward the highway. The other oblique bar interacts with the ground in a different way, it shoots into the ground and connects with the tower. This connection shows through the underground plaza, which forms a gate towards city hall. The profile line of this oblique bar is also carried by another top bar which connects to the center area. All the parts connect physically in the specific way that each of the pieces is necessary to create the general form. The unique form has a lot of potential for different quality spaces inside. In the big section, The middle part is a public space including lobby, gym, library, parlor and a vertical gallery. Below is a amphitheater. In the further part, it connects with two different residential area. The uniform texture creates a singular design language for the facade. The curtain wall has many sizes of reflective glass panels on the top. There are different orientations of the panels on different faces, which mimics the different quality of space inside. The study focuses on the unique Australian animal known as the Thorny Devil, which inhabits the arid regions of inland Australia. One notable feature of this creature is its ability to absorb water through its skin, enabling it to survive in such a dry environment. The primary objective of this study is to investigate the efficient mechanisms employed by the Thorny Devil to moisturize and transport water. To achieve this, the chosen site for the project is Greenland, which is located near the polar region. The Thorny Devil typically reaches a total length of up to 21 cm (8.3 in) and has an average lifespan of 15 to 20 years. Its body is covered in hard and sharp spines, serving as a defense mechanism against predators, making it difficult to be swallowed. A notable feature of the Thorny Devil is the presence of a spiny "false head" located on the back of its neck, which serves as a protective adaptation against enemies. The "false head" is composed of soft tissue. Moreover, the Thorny Devil's skin possesses the unique ability to conduct water throughout its body, ultimately leading it to the mouth. Arduino UNO Arduino is an open-source electronics platform that utilizes user-friendly hardware and software. It enables Arduino boards to interpret inputs, such as light detected by a sensor or a button press, and translate them into corresponding outputs, such as activating a motor or illuminating an LED. Additionally, Arduino allows for online publishing of data or information. One of the widely used Arduino boards is the Arduino Uno, which is an open-source microcontroller board built around the Microchip ATmega328P microcontroller. Site Greenland, home to the second-largest ice sheet in the world, is profoundly impacted by global warming. I have chosen this location as the site for my study due to its limited access to water, resembling the challenging conditions faced by the thorny devil in the desert. My objective is to apply the water absorption principle observed in lizards to this context. The residents of Greenland primarily inhabit low-lying areas, and the fishing industry plays a crucial role in the local economy. However, the effects of global warming have significantly impacted Greenland's environment, housing, lifestyle, and industry. The temperature in Northern Europe is influenced by the North Atlantic warm current, which is believed to be an extension of the Gulf Stream. The melting of the ice sheet in Greenland's mountains results in the flow of melting ice into the ocean, disrupting the North Atlantic warm current. The melting ice layers also release ancient Methane deposits from under the sea, leading to a further increase in temperature and creating a self-perpetuating cycle. In response to the challenge of rising sea levels, most countries have opted for the construction of seawalls. However, the effectiveness of such measures is merely temporary. Let us consider cruise ships and aircraft carriers as illustrations. These vessels are equipped to meet all necessary requirements. Nevertheless, irrespective of their type, they all rely on land as their ultimate destination or "home."
